G52 is a community based group. The group was formed when a need was identified for activities within the Gamesley area.

G52 work closely with the community to provide activities which meet their needs and the group is run purely on donations and grants obtained from other charitable organisations. They work closely with other community groups and local agencies to provide a twice weekly hot meal service to local residents who may otherwise struggle. They also provide a range of various activities throughout the year from family craft days, to trips to the seaside and everything and anything in between.

Here is list of things they are doing throughout December and January

Mid week meals provided e.g. Sausage casserole, Beef stew with dumplings, Fish & chip suppers, grab a bag children’s lunch during school holidays, hot meal deliveries (older people),  treat packs, gammon joint, fruit platters, food bank vouchers.

G52 will also help with filling out referrals for the Government Household Fund.

At the Hub G52 have a community pantry where members of the community pay a small annual membership of £5 followed by a weekly cost of £2.00. For this small fee they can visit the shop to pick up a range of groceries, green groceries and toiletries.

This is only available to Gamesley residents who are struggling financially. If anyone interested in the above please contact Mrs Sammarco in the office for more details.
