We are pleased to share with you our overview for the development of Physical Education, Sports and Fitness within the Federation.
The government is providing funding of £350 million per year to provide new primary school sport funding. This will see more money going directly to primary school Head Teachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.
School’s will have to spend the sports funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they have the freedom to chose how they spend the funding.
For the year 2023/2024 we received the following amounts in Sports Funding –
All Saints £16,000
St. Margaret’s £16,000
Building on the good practise that was already in our schools, our children now benefit from:
- A PE curriculum and more experiences for the children
- Opportunities to join in with other Catholic schools and Derbyshire schools in the High Peak area to experience inter school competitions and tournaments.
- The staff are able to explore how Sport and PE can also further enhance the wider aspects of school life.
