Blessing of the Advent Wreath

Father Don visited St Margaret’s to bless the Advent Wreath that the children had helped to make.

Candlemas

All Saints school Mass for the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord – February 2026

Children and parishioners gathered on the playground for the blessing of the candles and procession to church for Holy Mass. Visiting seminarian Lukas had helped the children to learn the antiphon – ‘A light for revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of your people Israel.’

For the recessional hymn, the children waved their candles for the chorus of Shine Jesus Shine to celebrate Jesus being recognised as the Light of the World by Simeon and Anna.
