A Warm Welcome

Grainne Beaumont

St Margaret’s Catholic Voluntary Academy is situated on the edge of Glossop between Gamesley and Charlesworth. The school is surrounded by beautiful scenery and from the playground the Snakepass and Woodhead Pass can be seen. We are part of the St Ralph Sherwin Multi Academy Trust and work closely together with 5 secondary schools and 19 other primary schools. Our pupils benefit from expansive, picturesque grounds and much learning is done outdoors. The classrooms are spacious and also benefit from the wonderful views out the windows. Our Reception children have a large outdoor area which they use as part of their classroom. All the children benefit from a large hall which is used for gymnastics, games and at lunchtime. We have close links with All Saints CVA in Old Glossop. Both schools share the same Headteacher, Governing Body and Website. It is our aim that each and every child who joins St Margaret’s finds enjoyment, happiness, friendship and fulfilment throughout their days with us. We will strive to uncover the talents, interests and God-given gifts of each child; get to know them and understand them as individuals and build a curriculum around them that is rich and engaging. Please enjoy browsing our website and we hope it gives you a taste of what life here at St Margaret’s is like! Thank you for taking an interest in our school.
